This is a delightfully sweet mini christmas wall quilt with a finished size of approx. 20" x 23" (51cm x 58cm).
We have made this little quilt up twice now, the first sample Lynette had fun putting tiny iron-on crystals where the little dots are in the sky - it catches the light so nicely. Our second sample has been done in redwork and looks great, don't forget we would love to see you finished little quilt so feel free to email us a picture.
Everyone loves this quilt, it has a variety of techniques which include simple piecing, blanket stitch appliqué, double turn appliqué, bias vine and some basic embroidery stitches. Lynette machine quilted her quilt before appliquing the decorations to the outer border.

The quilt is approx. size 46" x 42"(117cm x 106cm) is a 4 part pattern set.
This fun quilt introduces some of Hugo's new dog friends. Jet (the black dog) belongs to one of Lynette's sons, Beau the brown Labrador belongs to her mum and dad and Rosie, a very much loved poodle from Lynette's past. Lynette is excited about how this quilt looks, designed with animal lovers in mind I have used subtle dirty colours which would also make it ideal for a boy. 'Cross stitch samplers hold a great appeal to me, there is something about the alphabet that I love. I wanted to create a sampler style quilt, not too big and not too small but something just right for my wall or the back of a sofa. I have had fun including my cats and Hugo the dog along with some pretty wool flowers, the wool flowers are where the name for the quilt came from.
One of my favourite garden shrubs is ‘Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow’, also known as ‘Kiss Me Quick’ or if you want its technical name Brunfelsias. This pretty bush is from the nightshade family, hence the purple flowers. I love the way they fade a lighter shade as each day passes and as you can see I have two lovely pots full of them either side of my little house.
Simple piecing combined with various applique techniques and some of my favourite embroidery have resulted in this sweet quilt.' Lynette x

Lynette and her husband (Vince aka Quilt Sherpa) were lucky enough to visit both Sweden and Norway, they found the people to be friendly and welcoming, the food delicious and the colouring and styles of the houses totally inspiring. Lynette came home from her trip and began designing and stitching this quilt.
